America Is Building Again — And These Stocks Win

Reshoring has moved from political slogan to capital allocation reality, rewiring supply chains and flooding industrial order books.

The reshoring trade is no longer a thesis — it is a construction site. Semiconductor fabs, EV battery plants, defense manufacturing lines, and grid infrastructure are all going up on American soil. The companies that pour the concrete, run the electrical, engineer the systems, and supply the components are seeing multi-year backlogs build. Ninety companies sit inside this theme, ranging from engineering giants to specialized industrials, and the demand signal behind them is durable.

The driver is structural. Tariff risk, pandemic-era supply chain failures, and national security pressure on critical industries have forced boardrooms to price geography differently. That repricing shows up in capital expenditure plans — and in the order books of companies that execute large industrial projects.

Engineering and Construction Firms Are the First Call

GE Vernova sits at the center of the grid build-out that reshoring demands. Every new domestic factory needs power, and the U.S. grid is running short of it. Fluor Corp is one of the largest engineering and construction firms in the world, and it wins when complex industrial facilities get commissioned domestically. Stantec brings design and consulting capacity to the same wave of infrastructure work. These aren't cyclical bets on a single contract — they are leveraged to a decade-long capital deployment cycle.

MYR Group is more specialized: it handles electrical construction for industrial and commercial projects, exactly the kind of work that multiplies when factories break ground. Demand for skilled electrical contractors is already outpacing supply in manufacturing-heavy states.

Industrials and Materials Capture the Build Cycle

Once a facility is designed, it needs equipment and materials. Carrier Global supplies HVAC and climate systems for industrial buildings — a direct beneficiary of new domestic construction. Howmet Aerospace provides engineered components for aerospace and defense, sectors that face explicit government pressure to manufacture in the U.S. General Dynamics is positioned on the defense manufacturing side, where reshoring is a procurement requirement, not a preference.

Worthington Enterprises processes steel — the raw feedstock for most of what gets built. Domestic manufacturing expansion means more processed steel demand, and Worthington is a direct conduit. CSW Industrials sells specialized components used in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial applications, categories that track construction activity closely.

Transportation infrastructure matters too. CSX moves raw materials and finished goods across the eastern U.S. — reshored manufacturing doesn't eliminate freight, it redirects it domestically, and rail captures a large share of that volume.

The Technology Layer Isn't Optional

Reshoring in semiconductors and advanced manufacturing requires domestic process equipment and next-generation battery technology. ACM Research makes semiconductor cleaning equipment, a niche but critical input as U.S. chip fabrication scales up. Enovix is building next-generation battery cells with U.S.-based production — a direct play on the domestic clean energy manufacturing push.

Leonardo DRS focuses on defense electronics, a segment where the Pentagon is actively mandating domestic sourcing. That mandate doesn't fluctuate with trade policy; it is baked into procurement law.

The full 90-company landscape in the reshoring theme spans the entire industrial stack. The firms that convert policy and capital flows into contracted revenue — engineers, constructors, component makers, and freight networks — are the ones with the clearest line from macro tailwind to earnings.
